Marco Di Maggio is considered by the international press as one of the world’s greatest rockin’ guitarist and Simone Di Maggio, even if still very young, recorded two well appreciated albums and he played all over Europe and Asia, both with his band, The Astrophonix and with the Thunder Twins.
This combo proposes a solid repertoire where the two twins guitars are rocking at full speed.

MARCO DI MAGGIO – Considered by the press as one of the best guitarist/singer around the globe. He performed in 16 countries, including Usa, Russia, China, Hong Kong and all over Europe.
He’s released 10 cd’s, 40 compilations,1 instructional video, appearing at top Festivals and Venues, collaborating with over 50 legendary international artists as: Terry Williams (the Dire Straits drummer) and D.J.Fontana (the Elvis’ drummer), just to name a few.
He writes soundtracks and music for jingles,spots and his song “You’ll Be Mine” was featured on the world’s famous Tv series Friends.
From year 2008 he was selected to represent as endorser, the great Gretsch Guitars, thanks to Casale Bauer.

SIMONE DI MAGGIO – Young, talented guitarist/singer, he’s released his first cd “Everybody’s Movin’” at the age of 15 for the german label Vampirella Music and he become soon a great reality into the R’n’R scene, performing at top meetings both in Italy, France, Switzerland, Uk.
Two years later he formed the band The Astrophonix. With this new project he has appeared also at the Eddie Cochran Weekender, Chippenham, Uk, where the local press wrote: “Simone Di Maggio was the best guitarist of this edition”.
The Astrophonix were choosen as opening act for the italian tour of the Meteors and Paul Fenech, the bandleader spent some very good words for them after the show.

MASSIMO CONTI - After studying with the best italian rock, jazz, pop drummer, Massimo starts various collaborations with different underground bands from Florence: Meridiana, Noia, Progenie, Aliseo, with these bands he’s often on tour around Italy. From ’96 he become member of Compagni Kaspar Hause where he plays the musical “Rocky Horror Picture Show ‘till year 2003.
Later he form the grunge band “Pearl Pusher”, starts to collaborate with Marco Di Maggio, Alessio Colosi, Ratoblanco and Tell Mama.
From 2007 he plays with the Astrophonix
TOMMASO FAGLIA - Doublebass/Electric bass. Tommaso Faglia (22 years old), is one of the most interesting italian double bass player . After many experiences with many Pop/Rock bands from the underground scene in Italy, Tommaso played for 2 years with Giuseppe Povia, appearing in many international Events like: CocaCola Live @ MTV, Live 8, Top of the Pops Italy and in the best Italian festivals. Later he’s on tour with La Camera Migliore, Train De Vie, Marco Di Maggio. During 2006/2007 he collaborate with some italian r’n’r bands where he starts to play the slappin’ upright bass. Soon he become a very well appreciate r’n’r bassist and he join the Simone Di Maggio’s Astrophonix. |
